Father Impregnates Minor Daughter: Newborn Abandoned in Train Toilet Exposes Horrific Bihar Crime
A shocking case has emerged from Bihar where a father impregnates minor daughter, and the newborn baby was later abandoned in a bag on a train toilet in Uttar Pradesh. The horrifying crime came to light after the baby was rescued by railway staff in Moradabad, tracing the events back to a rape in Chhapra, Bihar.
The father impregnates minor daughter story began unravelling when vendors on board the Patna-Chandigarh Summer Special train heard the cries of a baby inside a bag in the toilet. The umbilical cord was still attached, indicating a very recent birth.
Newborn Found, Umbilical Cord Still Intact
According to reports, the father impregnates minor daughter and the delivery occurred on June 22 while the minor was being taken to Delhi by train “for treatment.” As the train approached Varanasi, her water broke, and she gave birth inside the train’s toilet.
The girl and her family left the baby in a bag, placed inside another train’s toilet, and deboarded. Vendors discovered the baby between Varanasi and Bareilly. The child was immediately handed to the ticket-checking staff, who rushed to shift him to a safer air-conditioned coach due to the extreme summer heat.
SIM Card in Bag Helps Police Trace Family
Crucially, a SIM card was also found in the bag with the baby. Police tracked the number, which belonged to a relative of the rape victim. Upon questioning, it was revealed that the father impregnates minor daughter, and the baby belonged to her.
Moradabad Junction Railway Police Station in-charge Ravindra Vashistha confirmed to ANI that the family was from Chhapra, Bihar. The victim later admitted that her father, a habitual drunkard, had been sexually abusing her for over a year.
Rape Survivor, Family Unable to Care for Baby
The father impregnates minor daughter case took another tragic turn when the girl, along with her mother and grandmother, declined to keep the child. In writing, the teen mother stated her inability to raise the baby.
The Childline team and Child Welfare Committee in Moradabad have taken custody of the baby for now. Amit Kaushal, the committee’s chief, confirmed the baby is in safe care and not up for adoption immediately. Adoption processes only begin after two months, allowing time for the birth mother to reconsider custody.
Bihar Police Now Leading the Investigation
While the baby remains under child welfare protection, the main investigation into the crime where the father impregnates minor daughter is now being led by the Bihar police.
This shocking case underscores both the horrors of incestual abuse and the lack of awareness and protection for vulnerable minors in many parts of India. Authorities are expected to press charges of rape, child abuse, and abandonment against the accused.
What Lies Ahead for the Abandoned Baby?
The baby, rescued from a near-death situation, will remain with the Child Welfare Committee until further orders. If the mother does not claim custody within two months, the child may be put up for adoption as per standard procedures.
The father impregnates minor daughter case has sparked nationwide outrage and renewed calls for stricter monitoring of child abuse and mental health counseling for survivors. (HT)
