iOS 26 Unveiled: Smarter Features From Liquid Glass to Genmoji – Top15News: Latest India & World News, Live Updates

Apple Unveils iOS 26 with ‘Liquid Glass’ Design and Smarter Intelligence Features

At WWDC 2025, Apple introduced iOS 26, marking what is being called the most intelligent iPhone update yet. Alongside updates for iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS, iOS 26 features a sleek new design language titled Liquid Glass, which brings a fluid, reflective aesthetic to the iPhone interface.

Reimagined Visual Experience: Liquid Glass

Central to the iOS 26 experience is the Liquid Glass UI—an interface that uses real-time reflection and translucence to create depth and immersion. The update touches every visual corner of the system—from the Lock Screen and Home Screen to essential apps like Safari and Messages. Widgets and icons are now customizable with a glossy, layered look. Lock Screen elements fluidly integrate with the background for a more dynamic, spatial feel.

Smarter Apple Intelligence

Apple has expanded its AI capabilities, tightly integrating Apple Intelligence throughout iOS 26. Major upgrades include:

  • Live Translation: Real-time language translation on phone calls, FaceTime, and messages—all processed on-device for privacy.
  • Visual Intelligence: Users can interact with items on-screen—identify products, extract calendar info from screenshots, or get context-aware suggestions powered by an AI assistant.

Enhanced Messages and Genmoji

The Messages app now supports custom chat backgrounds and introduces Genmoji—a playful feature where users can blend two emojis to form entirely new ones. Group chats can now include polls, with AI suggesting them when relevant conversations arise.

Revamped Core Apps

  • Phone App: Now includes a smart call screening feature that can answer or hold calls.
  • Safari: Features an edge-to-edge design and adaptive tab bar for better navigation.
  • Camera: Receives a simplified interface for easier use.
  • Apple Music: Adds AutoMix for seamless song transitions and a new option to pin favorite content.

New Gaming and Navigation Tools

iOS 26 introduces a dedicated Apple Games app, merging Apple Arcade titles with users’ game libraries. A Play Together tab helps track friends’ activities and leaderboards.

Apple Maps now stores recently visited locations and delivers real-time updates for traffic and delays, making commuting smarter.

Upgrades to Wallet and CarPlay

Wallet gets a digital ID creation feature and smarter boarding passes, which now link to indoor airport maps. Apple Pay can also track purchases made outside Apple platforms. CarPlay receives usability enhancements, while iPadOS 26 debuts a robust new window management system.

Rollout Timeline

All updates, including iOS 26, are set to roll out publicly this fall. With this update, Apple not only redefines the visual design of its ecosystem but also strengthens the integration of intelligent features, offering a more personalized and intuitive user experience across its devices.
