On the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on Saturday to lead the celebrations. The historic event took place at Jamboree Maidan, where a massive gathering of women, adorned in traditional yellow and Sindoori sarees, welcomed the Prime Minister during the ‘Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Mahila Sashaktikaran Mahasammelan’.

PM Modi paid floral tribute to Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, recognizing her enduring contributions to Indian society, culture, and women’s empowerment. Prior to the main event, he also visited an exhibition showcasing Ahilyabai’s life, works, and vision—a chronicle of her rich legacy that continues to inspire.

The Prime Minister was also felicitated at the Mahasammelan, which was attended by thousands of women from across the state, marking the significance of the occasion.
