🇮🇳 NDA Passes Resolution Honouring Armed Forces’ Heroism After Pahalgam Terror Attack
In a powerful display of unity and national pride, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi passed a heartfelt resolution saluting the courage and sacrifice of the Indian armed forces. The resolution was passed during a parliamentary meeting held on Tuesday and focused on the military’s heroic actions during Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev, conducted in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
Operation Sindoor: India’s Swift Retaliation
The Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives, was carried out by The Resistance Front (TRF)—a Pakistan-based proxy of the Lashkar-e-Taiba. The gruesome incident led to nationwide outrage and prompted a strong countermeasure from India.
In response, Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev were executed, showcasing the armed forces’ unmatched courage and precision. The NDA resolution highlighted these operations as examples of India’s new strategic doctrine—quick, precise, and decisive retaliation.
“We salute the unmatched courage and unwavering commitment of our armed forces. Their heroic valour is a reflection of their unflinching devotion to protecting the nation,” the resolution stated.
PM Modi’s Visionary Leadership Felicitated
The NDA partners, including BJP, TDP (Telugu Desam Party), JDU (Janata Dal United) and other allies, felicitated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his strong leadership during this national crisis.
The resolution praised Modi’s:
- Unwavering resolve
- Visionary statesmanship
- Strong and decisive command
“His leadership has ignited a renewed spirit of unity and pride in the hearts of all Indians,” the resolution added.
India’s New Strategic Doctrine: Three Key Pillars
The NDA resolution also outlined the new strategic outlook under PM Modi’s leadership that will guide India’s response to terrorism in the future:
- No Compromise on Terror: Every terrorist attack on Indian soil will receive a fitting response—on India’s terms.
- Zero Tolerance for Nuclear Blackmail: India will act decisively even in the face of nuclear threats.
- No Distinction Between Terror Sponsors and Perpetrators: States and individuals aiding terrorism will be treated equally.
This bold doctrine marks a shift in India’s defence posture and diplomatic narrative, moving away from restraint to proactive deterrence.
Global Diplomatic Outreach
PM Modi also launched one of India’s most comprehensive global diplomatic campaigns following the operations. As part of this initiative:
- 59 MPs from various parties were sent to 32 countries.
- Their goal: To present India’s stance on terrorism and emphasize that a terror attack anywhere is a crime against humanity.“This outreach shows India’s maturity as a democracy and the inclusive vision of the Prime Minister, who believes that in matters of national security, there is no opposition,” the resolution noted.

Focus on Indigenisation and National Security
The NDA also reiterated its commitment to defence indigenisation and technological self-reliance. The resolution emphasized that under PM Modi’s leadership, India is reducing dependency on foreign arms and focusing on ‘Make in India’ for Defence.
Tribute to the Pahalgam Martyrs
The NDA resolution ended with a solemn tribute to the victims of the April 22 Pahalgam attack, stating:
“We pay our deepest condolences and respects to those who lost their lives. Their sacrifice shall not go in vain.”
The NDA’s resolution, passed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reflects India’s resolute stand against terrorism, the valour of its armed forces, and a unified national sentiment. With a combination of military precision, strategic clarity, and global outreach, India is reshaping its response to modern threats with a strong and visionary approach.
