Good news for Drishyam fans! The much-awaited Drishyam 3 has been officially confirmed. Ajay Devgn is back as Vijay Salgaonkar, in this thrilling series directed by Abhishek Pathak. The movie will hit theaters on October 2, 2026, which is also Gandhi Jayanti.

The makers, Panorama Studios and Viacom18, announced the news in a letter to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on May 29, 2025. This special way of announcing the film made it feel extra important. Soon after, the movie’s social media accounts shared the news with fans, saying:
“And it’s HAPPENING!! #Xclusiv… AJAY DEVGN – ABHISHEK PATHAK ANNOUNCE RELEASE DATE OF NEXT FILM…”
Ajay Devgn & Abhishek Pathak Reunite
This movie brings back Ajay Devgn and director Abhishek Pathak after the big success of Drishyam 2. The second movie earned a whopping ₹342.31 crore worldwide and proved to be a hit.
Talking about Drishyam 2, Pathak once said:
“It was intimidating working with stars like Ajay sir, Tabu, and Akshaye Khanna. The night before the shoot, I couldn’t sleep thinking about how to direct such talented actors.”
Now with Drishyam 3, he is ready to continue Vijay’s story with more suspense and excitement.
