India Seeks Global Unity in Fight Against Terrorism: A Strong Appeal to Liberia

On April 22, 2025, a deadly terrorist attack struck Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. Many innocent people died. After this, India began a global campaign to get support against terrorism. Liberia, a growing voice in West Africa, is an important partner for India.

A Call for World Unity

India says this attack is not just a loss for India. It is a threat to world peace. India wants all countries to stand together against terrorism. Indian MP Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde led a visit to Liberia. This was part of a tour that also included Sierra Leone and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

“A Friend in Need Is a Friend Indeed”

On June 2, in Monrovia, MP Bansuri Swaraj spoke to the media. She said India needs Liberia’s support in the fight against terrorism.

“Terrorism is a global problem,” she said. “We ask Liberia to stand with India.”

She named Pakistan as a country that supports terrorist groups and proxy wars.

Meeting Liberia’s Leaders

The Indian team met with Liberia’s President Joseph Nyuma Boakai and other leaders. They talked about working together to fight terrorism. India suggested a Global Plan to fight terrorism. This plan includes sharing information and working with other countries.

Dr. Shinde said, “This is not only India’s fight. It is a fight for peace and humanity everywhere.”

Liberia’s Quick Support

MP Atul Garg thanked Liberia for its quick support. Liberia was one of the first countries to condemn the attack. Liberia’s Senate held a moment of silence for the victims.

“We are very grateful to Liberia,” said Garg.

Clear Message, Strong Will

India’s message is clear: No more ignoring countries that support terrorism. The world must act firmly.

Swaraj said, “Terrorism is not just a regional issue. The world must call out countries like Pakistan that support violence.”

Building a Global Team for Peace

This campaign is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s global efforts. India has sent seven teams to different countries to gain support against terrorism.

India wants action, not just words. MP Garg said, “We cannot let terror and trade happen at the same time.”

A Shared Fight for a Safer World

India’s outreach to Liberia is a key step in global teamwork. It is a call for all nations to unite and fight terrorism.

“Let us defeat terrorism together and stand against countries that harm peace and growth,” India says.

India has made its choice. Now, the world must choose the right side.
